Antique Original Oil on Canvas Painting

Hilly fields with rows of yellow flowers taper off into the distance with the silhouettes of something manmade. Perhaps ancient standing stones, or the jaggedy remnants of war, whatever they are along with the deep purple sky the artist has really managed to capture emotion and feeling in this piece

Painted confidently using impasto brushdtrokes.

I would date this to c.1920s-1940s.

There is also quite an accomplished abandoned work on the reverse of the canvas.

The painting itself is in very good condition with no real damage and only minor wear and tear.
