Vintage Original Oil Painting Depicting a Man in Motion

A well-executed representation of a man in a tight and twisted pose, the artist has a wonderful grasp of colour, light and shade. The depiction is very lifelike picking out details such as the backbone and the muscular definition.

Extremely reminiscent of Eadweard Muybridge’s photographs of the 19th century period.

It is indistinctly signed on the reverse, but I can’t quite make it out.

In a complimentary, simple gilt frame.

The painting itself is in very good condition, it is clean and bright, there are a couple of areas of slight wear and tear as can be seen in the photographs but nothing serious enough to detract from the image.
