Antique George II Crossbanded Walnut Chest of Drawers, Early 18th Century
Antique George II Crossbanded Walnut Chest of Drawers, Early 18th Century
Antique Georgian Chest of Drawers
A handsome chest of two short over three long graduating drawers.
A wonderfully rich and lively crossbanded walnut lined with oak.
With brass pull handles and raised on decoratively shaped bracket feet.
Dating from the reign of George II in the early 18th Century.
The chest is in good vintage order. All drawers run smoothly and it is a very usable piece of furniture. There is some wear commensurate with age throughout and a couple of pieces of veneer are lacking. We believe the handles have been replaced at some point in its life but are antique examples.
Approximate measurements 98cm wide x 54cm deep x 95cm high.
