Antique Mahogany and Velvet Upholstered Chairs, Early 19th Century
Good looking good quality dining chairs in the neoclassical style.
Dating from the late regency period.
Tablet top rail carved into the shape of an ionic column’s capital above a horizontal splat carved into wing-like forms.
The front legs are tapering and reeded with brass castors with sabre rear legs.
Removable seat pads upholstered in chartreuse velvet.
They are in great vintage condition. they are sturdy, all present and correct and very usable. There are some old repairs here and there along with some wear and tear but nothing you wouldn’t expect from 200-year-old chairs.
Measuring 92cm high x 52cm wide x 53cm deep. The seat height at the front centre is around 48cm.
