Antique Cane and Carved Walnut Chair with Green Velvet Seat Cushion

Dating from the early 20th century.

Carved walnut frame with scrolls and foliate details.

Optional chartreuse velvet seat cushion with tassels with a cane work seat underneath.

Bought in Provence in Southern France.

It is somewhat worn and faded and that’s why we fell for it. The frame is solid and sturdy and could be oiled, waxed or polished up if that’s your bag but we like it as it is so have left it in original condition. The cane work is in great order as is the cushion. There are small amounts of wear and tear here and there but nothing too serious and they add to its charm.

Measuring: 93cm high x 64cm wide x 62cm deep. The seat height does vary but is around 46cm.
