Vintage Brutalist Wall Mounted Lantern Light by Peter Marsh, Leaded Glass and Wrought Iron, 1950s
Vintage Brutalist Wall Mounted Lantern Light by Peter Marsh, Leaded Glass and Wrought Iron, 1950s
Mid-Century Wall Light/Lantern
A pyramid-shaped shade with multicoloured ‘dalle de verre’ or ‘slag’ glass fragments in heavy lead solder.
Decorative scrolling wrought iron frame and cruciform bracket.
Brutalist mid-century design with nods to the neo-gothic.
Would work well in a porch or entrance hall.
Signed underneath the shade ‘PETER MARSH, B’HAM, ENGLAND’.
Peter Marsh made lighting in Birmingham, England from the mid-1940s to the mid-1960s. We believe this example dates from the 1950s period.
It is in very good vintage condition with only minor wear commensurate with age. We recommend all lighting must be tested and installed by a suitably qualified electrician before use.
Approximate measurements 19cm wide x 26cm deep x 27cm high.
