Portrait of a Fed Up Woman Boating, Vintage Original Oil Painting, Early-Mid 20th Century
Original Oil on Canvas Painting
Depicting a woman in a matching pink dress and wide-brimmed hat with her head in her hands and a rather fed-up expression on her face. She is sitting in a wooden boat on a river, behind her a man is standing on the stern of the boat, with pressed blue slacks and blue slip-on shoes. They are probably punting. For that reason, I would imagine the scene is taking place in either Oxford or Cambridge.
An interesting and unusual composition which is full of feeling and very evocative. The painting is unsigned.
Probably dating from the 1930s-1950s period.
The painting is in good vintage condition with no serious issues and wear commensurate with age.
Approximate measurements 36cm x 26cm x 2cm.
