Vintage Motorcycle Jacket

Made by Speedman Leathers, London.

A sought-after and rare biker jacket made from thick gauge yet supple leather.

Quilted petrol blue satin lining.

Dating from the late 1970s-early 1980s period.

Original leather shoulder patch from the notorious Motorhead Iron Fist tour of 1982.

Provenance, this jacket came from the personal collection of one of the crew members from the Iron Fist tour which featured original merchandise and crew memorabilia from his career as a sound engineer including lots of Motorhead items, as well as Iggy Pop, Sex Pistols, Judas Priest, Pogues, Scorpians, Frank Zappa etc. etc.

It is in very good vintage condition with minor wear commensurate with age. There are no serious issues with the leather, no holes or tears or worn-out sections. All the zips are still present and working. One of the pocket zips lacks a pull chain but it still works. The lining is largely in good order, there is one small repair to the lining with a sewn denim patch.

Shoulder to shoulder: 43cm = 16.9 inches 

Armpit to armpit: 52cm = 20.4 inches 

Sleeve from the shoulder:  65cm = 25.5 inches 

Length: 63cm = 24.8 inches 

I would say it probably comes up as a UK men’s size Medium but it is worth checking the measurements
