Vintage Original Oil on Canvas Painting

Depicting a central vase bursting with hydrangeas on a kitchen table surrounded by a wealth of different fruits including grapes, plums, apples, pears and a cantaloupe melon with a cigar burning on top of a box of matches on the side next to a bottle of wine and a fruit knife.

Painted in a folky, naive style using a dusky pastel colour palette.

Probably dating to the mid-20th century period, circa 1940s-1950s in date.

Signed to the lower left ‘Schwarz’.

The painting is largely in good vintage condition. There are some repairs which can be seen easiest when looking at the back. These don’t really detract from the overall look of the piece when hanging on the wall. Other than that there is some wear throughout which again doesn’t detract from the decorative appeal of the painting and we think adds to its appeal.
