French Vineyard Manager's Knobstick, 19th Century
French Vineyard Manager's Knobstick, 19th Century
£0.00
Antique Shillelagh Type Country Walking Stick
Originating from a vineyard in France where apparently the manger used this as an intimidating walking stick to scare the workers into submission! Half walking stick half weapon.
Wonderfully charming carving with the initials ‘V.S.’ with an arrow symbol and dated ‘1875’.
Made from a chunky branch of fruitwood with a big knob/handle on top.
It is a rustic piece and has been polished and patinated over time from years of use and handling. There is some old woodworm throughout which we have treated just to be sure.
Measuring: 100cm high and the knob at the top is 10cm x 6cm.
Delivery is £10 to Mainland UK. If you live elsewhere please get in touch for an accurate quote.
