Antique Original Oil on Canvas Painting Depicting a Greek Myth

The classic story of Perseus flying in on Pegasus to rescue the beautiful Andromeda from Poseidon’s sea serpent.

Depicted in a charming, almost fairytale 1920s style with bold colours and fantastic detail.

Signed ‘J. Topliss’ and dated 1923.

In a complementary glazed gilt gesso frame.

The painting itself is in excellent vintage condition, there is a little wear and tear around the edges of the frame but nothing serious enough to detract from the image.
