Original Antique Paintings After Frescoes From Pompeii
Absolutely stunning paintings one depicts a woman archer and there and the other with a spear.
They are taken from frescos found at Pompeii and reproduced to take home for gentlemen on their grand tour.
Although a lot earlier there is something quite 1950s pin-up about them.
In beautiful and original gilt frames by Arthur Ackermann & Son, Regent St.
They are in excellent vintage condition with only minor wear and tear, there is a touch of craquelure to the paint but this adds to their charm. The frames are largely intact however there is also a bit of wear and tear to them.
Each one measures 42cm high x 28cm wide.
