Antique Original Oil on Canvas Painting Depicting a Female Sitter, 19th Century

An earnest, rosy-cheeked young woman dressed in her finery.

I would date this to c. 1820

In a much later, yet complimentary parcel-gilt and ebonised frame.

The painting itself is in very good condition; it has been recently cleaned so feels bright, much as it was when it was originally painted. There is some light craquelure to the surface but only enough to add charm and certainly nothing to worry about. I would say at the same time it was cleaned it was relined and laid over a fresh canvas to preserve it.
