A handsome actor dressed in classical attire with a dark cloak and roman sandals.
In later gilt frame with the most fun red velvet stage curtains attached.
The painting itself is in very good condition; it has been recently cleaned so feels bright, there are also a couple of professional repairs to the lower half.
