Early 20th Century French Portrait of a Bond Villain?
£0.00
Antique Oil on Canvas Portrait of a Man in a Tuxedo.
Bought in Paris he is slightly reminiscent of Putin or a hitman/bond villain (I am sure the sitter was actually very lovely).
Probably dating from the 1920s-1950s period.
Exquisitely painted but unsigned.
It is in good vintage condition, there isn’t any damage to the paint apart from a little fine crackling to the surface which has occurred over time, this can only be seen when inspecting closely. There is a slight pressure stretch to the canvas on the right hand-side of his bowtie but other than that there are no real issues. Please see photos.
Measuring: 66cm x 50cm x 2cm.
