Vintage Turquoise Glazed Pottery Vase With Hand Painted King and Queen Decoration

Vintage Turquoise Glazed Pottery Vase With Hand Painted King and Queen Decoration
Vintage Ceramic Vase
A coiled earthenware pottery vase with a turquoise glaze and hand decorated in black and blue line work with a stylized king with a falcon and sword on one side and a queen holding flowers on the other. They are painted by a talented hand with quick and confident brushstrokes.
The origin is a bit of a mystery, the vase is unsigned and several research attempts have come back empty-handed. Possibly Scandinavian, possibly Spanish or Italian, then again it could be British???
Probably dating from the mid-20th century circa 1930s-1950s.
It is in very good vintage condition with only minor wear commensurate with age. There are no chips or cracks and there is some crazing to the glaze.
Approximate measurements 32cm high x 16cm diameter at the widest point.
Delivery is £10 to the Mainland UK. If you live elsewhere please get in touch for an accurate quote. The shipping will automatically be added at checkout unless you select collection.
