A charming scene depicting a clutch of small blue eggs in a bird’s nest, possibly blackbirds or of the song thrush, alongside pink and white wild roses with butterflies.
Signed to the lower left ‘J.W. Kettlewell’.
Dating from the 1880s.
The oval painting is mounted into a gilt mount and framed and glazed in its original gilt frame.
The painting and frame are in good vintage condition with some minor wear commensurate with age.
Overall measurements: 51cm x 41cm x 2cm. The painting itself measures 29cm x 22cm.
