Painted in a naive folk art style.
Dating from the early Victorian period.
Signed to the lower left ‘W. Davies’ and dated ‘1842’.

The painting is in good vintage condition with no damage, no holes, tears or repairs to the canvas. The surface of the painting is clean and bright and with only minimal handling wear commensurate with age. There is some craquelure present but this adds to its charm.
