Vintage Original Oil on Board Painting

Depicting a rural scene, possibly in the South of France, with a large detached white villa in lush gardens with vines. Two figures are sitting outside on patio furniture outside the front of the house.

Looking at the painting as a whole on the wall the artist has skilfully captured the scene in an almost photorealist style but on closer inspection, you can really see how they have crafted the painting with different-sized brushstrokes and expert depictions of light and shade.

Signed to the lower right with the initials 'M.G.' and dated '76' for 1976.

Framed in its original parcel gilt and grey painted wooden frame.

The painting is in excellent vintage condition with only minimal wear commensurate with age. the frame is also in good vintage order.

Approximate overall measurements 99cm x 69cm x 2cm.
