A quirky, if a bit morbid talking point for any collector. For some reason I was drawn to this guys face. Made from wax with a human hair moustache and eyelids, it really is quite life like (ironically).

After death sometimes these were used to remember loved ones (memento mori) or used to make portraits of them. They were also used in the medical profession for training purposes but I think with this example because of the use of his hair I think it must have been a memento mori piece.

Overall the condition is very good for it's age. Please see photos.
