This beaut definitely used to belong to a pirate, ARRRRRRR. A very quirky talking point that can be hung on the wall or placed on the shelf for a very steampunky aesthetic.
It is actually very well made and quite attractive in a weird kind of way (if you like that sort of thing). It is made from stuffed brown leather sitting on a cast iron frame and wooden leg. I would say it probably dates from the early 20th century.
This leg has definitely seen a few things, (buy it a few pints and it might tell you some stories) so has built up a wonderful patina and level of wear consistent with age and use, please see photos.
