Antique Original Oil on Canvas Painting Depicting Fruit

A charming depiction of a menagerie of fruit on a pewter plate including bananas, apples, grapes, plums and an orange.

Painted in a folky somewhat skew-whiff naive style. The artist has captured the individual character of each fruit well with different brushstrokes/textures for different fruits.

Signed to the lower left 'P. Goddard' and dated '29' for 1929.

The painting is in good vintage condition with no serious problems and some wear commensurate with age.
