A captivating portrait depicting a young woman with a kind yet powerful face dressed in white and against a green-mottled background. She is full of character.

The painting is unsigned but appears to be by a very talented hand. The artist has managed to capture plenty of feeling in the sitter with great skill. mixing technical ability and emotion.

I would date this to the early 20th century period, circa 1910-1930.

Framed in a simple ebonised wooden frame.
