Antique Original Oil on Canvas Painting Depicting a Female Sitter

A delicate, sensitive and excellently executed head and shoulders portrait of a woman looking off into the distance.

In its original and highly decorative carved wood frame.

The painting is largely in good order. The only thing I would point out are a few small historic tears to the canvas but these are only in the background and not on the figure itself. These could easily be patched up from behind if so desired but we like its aesthetic the way it is so have left it in the condition we have found it in. The frame is in good vintage condition.
