Edwardian Stained Glass and Brass Hallway Lantern

Edwardian Stained Glass and Brass Hallway Lantern

Stunning Arts and Crafts Glass Pendant Lampshade.

This is the most beautiful example of an Edwardian hallway lantern that I have seen.

Unusual multi faceted shape with green, textured stained glass squares and triangles forming a football type shape. In between the green glass are lots of small clear, trapezium shapes panes forming indents.

A real handmade quality, Arts and Crafts movement piece, with hand soldered brass leading between the glass panes.

It is hanging from it's original chains and there is a small hatch with a ole in it at the top to put the lightbulb in.

This would work well for it's intended purpose as a hallway/porch lantern in an Edwardian house but would obviously look great in any room or a more eclectic interior. Or just as an object to admire.

Roughly measuring: 27cm X 27cm X 27cm.

The shade is in remarkably good, vintage condition, so many of these lanterns have panes missing and have a lot of damage. The only thing I would point out is that one of the small clear glass trapezium shaped panes is cracked, other than that there is no damage. Please see photographs.
