19th Century Original Painted Housekeepers larder cupboard

19th Century Original Painted Housekeepers larder cupboard

A stunning 19th century large painted elm wood housekeepers cupboard.  Great colours and wear to the piece, it has beautiful crackled original paint with off white and blue sections with green paint showing through beneath the blue paint. All the paint and wear is original, it is in good condition though and is not flaking or rubbing off so it is still very useable. Very practical with two doors and shelved interior.

With a lovely old brass handle on the top door and original old hinges and wooden catches for both doors to hold them in place. There are a couple of repairs to the inside and the top of the cupboard to help strengthen the piece but these are not really very visible.

It has marks and wear all over but it is evenly distressed and looks great.

This would look just as good and be as practical in a kitchen as it would a bedroom or bathroom

Measurements; 217cm tall x 95cm wide x 46cm deep

It has two shelves inside but extra shelves could be added if desired as there are grooves on both sides of the inside of the unit .
