Edwardian Yandell Cheese or Meat Shop Scales

Edwardian Yandell Cheese or Meat Shop Scales

Antique Shop Scales.

Made by Yandell of Bristol.

Porcelain weighing area, would have originally been used for items such as cheese or meat.

Attractive brass guard and weight platform all sitting on a marble plinth and mahogany base.

I would date this set of scales to the Edwardian era, early 1900s.

A great interior design piece but could also be used as a functional set of scales.

Measuring: 51cm wide x 25cm deep x 45cm tall.

The scales are in working order and in great vintage condition. The brass is dull and slightly tarnished (which we prefer for aesthetic value) however they could be polished up to a desired level as required. the porcelain platform has some pits etc but is free from cracks or chips. The wooden base is is worn which we also like but could also be polished up if desired. Please see photos.
