Edwardian Bay & Millward Apothecary Scales

Edwardian Bay & Millward Apothecary Scales

A Set of Antique Apothecary Scales.

Made from brass by Day & Millward Ltd. Birmingham.

Dating from post 1895 and were probably manufactured during the early 1900's, in the Edwardian era.

Originally they would have probably come from an apothecary or chemist's shop

A great interior design piece but could also be used as a functional set of scales.

Will be sent collapsed for safety during transport but is pretty simple to put back together and we can help with this if required.

Measuring: 55cm wide x 29cm deep x 65cm tall.

The scales are in working order and in great vintage condition. The brass is dull and slightly tarnished (which we prefer for aesthetic value) however they could be polished up to a desired level as required. The wooden base is original, there are three holes drilled in to the base which appear to also be original and would probably have been for fixing to the shop counter top. Please see photos.
