Enrico Baj
The late Italian artist, Enrico Baj (1924-2003) had an interest in law and politics, specifically an obsession in a nuclear war, with the majority of his paintings being both haunting and childlike.
His works include a range of prints, collages and sculptures with his record price being $147,000 for his “Grande spettacolo” painting using oil, jute, glass and stones on canvas.
A founder of the Movimento Nucleare, Baj was also a promoter of the Neo-avant-gardes in the 1950s and 1960s, with his compatriots Lucio Fontana and Piero Manzoni.
We currently have a collection of his colourful artworks for sale in the shop in the form of fluorescent prints and collages from his 'La Cravate ne vaut pas une Medaille' signed limited edition book which has the most unique Lego case.
We are going to be uploading these onto the website over the coming weeks so please pop in or get in touch if you are interested in seeing more.
