ON SET WITH THE BBC

We were recently tasked with transforming the fabulous 'Concrete House' located in  Westbury-on-Trym into a 1960s pad for a new BBC documentary about the history of British photography.

The Grade II listed house was designed in 1934-35 by the architectural practice Connell, Ward & Lucas for one of the leading figures of the W. D. & H. O. Wills tobacco company. It provided a stunning backdrop for the documentary.

It was an exciting process of sourcing and selecting pieces from Rag & Bone to create the retro aesthetic needed for the BBC’s exploration into the rise of colour photography. It was a fantastic experience to work with the very talented director and producer Chloe Penman and her team, and we learnt a lot about the filming and production process.
